Wow, OK, so it was October of '04 that I last updated this thing. I have been one busy MacOmbre'. I have some new dates coming up, many of which will be playing with my band The Bag'n'Pipe Hoppers, and a few of which sadly won't be happening... but this is what I've got as of today.
And right below here is the same-ol'-same-'ol intro stuff...

_The Latest Schedule Stuff..._
You will see that I've broken this up by months. I'm not sure why I've done this, but I'm sure it will make sense to me later. I think it's so any of you looking at this will be able to find things faster.
_Older Schedule Stuff..._
I've started writing things like "NEW" or "UPDATED" over entries. So if you're reading this and things look familiar, yet Tribe indicates there's a new posting here, you can just zip around looking the extra notes in caps.
OK, as said, I'm making a thread just for my performance schedule. I'll try to keep everything to the all-steak-and-no-sizzle, but if you have any questions, would like more info, etc, post your questions here... However, as things change and dates become past, I'm going to delete and repost this thread but probably only with the events -- but not the past dialogue. So here goes...
Enjoy!

June 2005 Schedule Stuff
Wed, June 8, 2005 - 11:41 AM6.11.05 (aprox 7-9PM)
Kids BDay Party
Seattle, WA
Private Event
6.17-19.05
Solstace Parade/Fremont Street Fair
I was asked to play for the belly-dancers again, and it'd be fantastic to play this with my band, however, I will be out of town. Bummer... maybe again next year.
6.28.05
Conor Byrnes
Last Tuesday of the month there's a tallent show thing at the pub. This will be the third one. I was there for the 2nd one piping and showing off some of the functional art bagpipes of the maker I've been consulting for -- it was fun -- it'd be a kick to be back there this month, but I believe I have a conflict. Maybe next month.

July 2005 Schedule Stuff
Wed, June 8, 2005 - 11:41 AM7.7.05 TIME?
expo world football match (aka soccer)
Seahawks Qwest Stadium
Seattle, WA
I busked this last year, had a blast and made a killing. I've spoken with the kit-drummer of my band that at least he and I should busk this event -- and the cool thing is that it seems there are going to be TWO of these matches in Seattle this year. At least as far as I know this is the repeat of the Celtics vs Chelse match as last year and the Celtcis vs Manchester the year before that (which I'm still KICKING MYSELF for not going and busking). Anyway, from what I know, this year it's supposed to be Canada vs (Someone)... or something like that. Right now we don't have much info on this -- but if you check out www.canadasoccer.com/eng/med.....rtical.asp you'll know as much as we do. I'm hoping to get more info as it gest closer -- when/if I do I'll try to update the info here. The only down thing is that the second date conflicts with the Skagit Valley/Mt.Vernon Highland Games. At least we're not on for Skagit/Mt.Vernon yet, so either way we'll be doing somethin' cool that day and turnin' a few bucks. If someone has more information on this football (aka soccer) event -- PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
Please Note: Our performance is free, it costs to get into the game. Also, I don't know what the time of the event is at the time of this posting.
7.9.05
Skagit Valley Games
Edgewater Park, Mount Vernon, WA 98273
www.celticarts.org/
OK, I haven't actually *spoken* with the Skagit Valley Games commission yet about featuring The Bag'n'Pipe Hoppers at the event, so at present we are _not_ performing at this event... we have been hoping to garner more and more attention by the local Scots community and be asked to play at some of the local Scot events like Highland Games. Given that we're a poor-arse band with hardly a car between the three of us, and so far we've made most of our gigs by using public buses, this one is close enough that if we did get hired for it, this is most realistic to get to. SKAGIT VALLEY GAMES, YOU WANT TO FEATURE THE BAG'N'PIPE HOPPERS AT YOUR EVENT!
7.9.05
expo world football match (aka soccer)
Seahawks Qwest Stadium
Seattle, WA
*SEE 7.7.05 PERFORAMCE DATE WRITE-UP*
7.30.05
Pacific Northwest Highland Games
King County Fair Ground, Enumclaw, WA 98022
OK, again, The Bag'n'Pipe Hopper haven't actually *spoken* with these games either, and we are at present _not_ performing at this event... but we have been hoping to garner more and more attention by the local Scots community and be asked to play at some of the local Scot events like Highland Games. Aside from the fact that these games probably can't afford us, and given that we as a band don't have quite enough transportation between us to get out to Enumclaw, this gig at this time is not likely to happen... but we are trying to think in the right direction.... so.... SEATTLE HIGHLAND GAMES, YOU WANT TO FEATURE THE BAG'N'PIPE HOPPERS AT YOUR EVENT! YOU WANT US TO JAM ON THE SAME STAGE AS THE WICKED TINKERS.

August 2005 Schedule Stuff
Wed, June 8, 2005 - 11:42 AM8.6.05?
SeaFair Magnolia Community Parade
They asked me to pipe it last year, and it was the first weekend of August. At the time of this posting (6.8.05) I'm intending on contacting them to see if they'd like me again. It was a free gig, but it was a kick -- I'm assuming they'd have me...
8.6.05
A piper friend's of mine wedding to another piper.
Dumfries, Scotland, UK
This is one of those dates I spoke about before that sadly I won't be able to make -- at least, while typing this 6.8.05, it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to swing it time or money-wise. They were planing to have a bagpipe jam as part of their wedding or reception out of all the pipers attending. There's talk that they may have a aniversary party and do the same when they return to the US in about a year... at least there will be that, right?
Brianne, Cameron -- Congradulations! -- All my love and blessings to your big day and life together ~ Don
8.21.05
Pipefest.com parade of 20,000 Pipers & Drummers
Fundraiser for Marie Curie Cancer Foundation
Edinburgh, Scotland, UK
Another event that it looks like I'm not going to make, sadly. If anyone wants to give me some round-trip plane tickets to Scotland, I'd be off in an instant.
8.20.05 -- TBD
The Bag'n'Pipe Hoppers
busking outside Seattle Hempfest
Myrtle Edwards Park, Pier 70
Seattle, WA 98101,US
Cost - your soul
We're considering busking outside of Seattle Hempfest. At the time of posting this show, we as a band are not yet decided on doing this performance, however its looking very likely.

September 2005 Schedule Stuff
Wed, June 8, 2005 - 11:49 AM9.2-5.05 -- Labour Day Weekend -- 11A?-?PM
Bumbershoot
Seattle Centre, Seattle, WA
Cost - arm & leg
The Bag'n'Pipe Hoppers (busking)
It pays to buy your tickets in advance -- find the Bumbershoot/One Reel website and buy 'em early to save something like 40%. This event is similar to Folklife except commercial, plastic and kinda expensive. More Bag'N'Pipe Hoppers & Bumbershoot details about this event as it gets closer. All I can say now is that we intend to busk it like we did Folklife Memorial Day weekend '05 -- and in the same spot -- NW corner of the Centre House.
9.24.05 -- Tenative Date
UW vs Notre Dame football party
Greater Seattle Area somewhere
Private Event
This even will happen if The Bag'n'Pipe Hoppers take the job, which at the moment is chiefly contigent on me finding the business card of the guy who asked us to play (oops -- musicians, wadda ya want?).

Oh, and one more thing...
Wed, June 8, 2005 - 11:49 AMLast Stuff About My Schedule Thread *WITH SOME UPDATES*...
Here's some other surely scintillating details further relevant to this...
The Seattle Centre & (outdoor?) festival events are times I'll be busking, promoting the heck out of myself, & generally having a good time. (UPDATE) It looks like I will frequently be busking at Westlake with the kit-drummer of my band The Bag'n'Pipe Hoppers. In the last few months its been been pretty regular on Thursdays on the Nordstroms corner facing Westlake Park (or whatever it's called). If you want to try to catch us, I strongly urge you to check with me directly to see if we are getting down there on whichever particular Thursday and at what time we're aiming for.
The Highland Games are events where I go to hang out, promote myself as a player/instructor however much I can, & receive abuse from the die-hard drunk &/or purist farts. Sounds like fun, huh? That's why I only go to about 3 of these per year.
Hopefully I'll be adding other dates to my calendar -- chiefly wedding gigs. Until then, it's bust-arse toward recording my album.
*UPDATE*
I will post w/in this tribe about my album progress and when it will be released. As of 6.8.05, I'm hoping to start the recording sometime this summer. I worked my pleats off for a few months around this past Xmas on copyright research -- usually putting in 16hr/days about 6days/wk -- and I've since been back to working on my actual playing & making big progress. Yesterday I took another inventory of where I'm at, and as usual, about everything got switched totally around, however things do appear such that I will be recording anywhere from 4-7 of my 12 tracks the first time out -- WOOT! That's big progress as far as I'm concerend. Whatever actually ends up happening, I think there will still be the cascade-effect with how playing and recording these tunes fall into place. So as I've said before, I don't have a deadline for this project -- I believe that it will be done when it's supposed to be, and by that done right -- I instead have goals about when this will be done. I'd like this hummer to be done in time that it could be available for Xmas gifts this December -- which is possible -- but I'm hoping for no later than in time for Folklife 2006. Suffice it to say, an album project is not an over-night occurance -- at least not one like this and not the first one. But so far it has been a marvelous learning experience that is pushing me as a musician like nothing in the past.
